It's A Corny Life: New Year. New Blog. New Me.

The new year is just around the corner and personally, I can't wait! I'll be the first to admit that twenty-ten was not my best year.

The new blog is in addition to this one. I hope you will hop on over and check it out.

The new me? Well, there are a lot of things I want to work on personally...too many to list right now. I am a work-in-progress and I am sure if you keep following it's a corny life, and the new blog, you will see what I mean.

But, enough about me...how cute is this little one year old?

Who we are...

We were married on Christmas Eve 2006. We are the parents of identical twin girls...our Miracle here on Earth and our sweet Angel in Heaven. We have been blessed with yet another miracle and welcomed our third daugther into our family in December 2009. We love life. We love our families and our friends. We love love.

This is Abigail. Our first born daughter and survivor of Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. She was born at 28 weeks weighing slightly over 2 pounds. She suffered from Necrotizing Enterocolitis and had a tough go of it for the first 6 months of her life. She is stubborn. She is feisty. She is as funny as all heck. She is our little fighter. She is our IVF miracle and we couldn't be more proud to be her parents.

Madison is Abby's identical twin. She was born into Heaven one minute after her sister, weighing a mere 9.4 ounces. We love her and miss her every minute of every day but we have peace in knowing that she is our Angel and one day, a long time from now, we will see her and hold her in our arms again.

Lillian is the newest addition to our family. Blessed with another miracle we got pregnant naturally after IVF. She was born at 31 weeks, weighed 3 pounds 11 ounces and came home after 21 days in the NICU. Lilly turned one on 12/21/10. She looks just like her sister (and her Daddy) and made our little family complete.

Remembering

Go ahead and mention my child,
The one that died, you know.

The depth of my pain doesn’t show.
Don’t worry about making me cry,
I’m already crying inside.
Help me to heal by releasing
The tears that I try to hide.
I’m hurt when you just keep silent,
Pretending he didn’t exist,

Knowing that he has been missed.
You asked me how I was doing,
I said “pretty good” or “fine”.
But healing is something ongoing,
I feel it will take a lifetime.
