My beloved Sundevils take on the USC Trojans tomorrow at USC...and we are going to the game! I don't think I've been to a football game since before we had kids...AND I CAN"T WAIT! Go Devils!

Dear V#stapr#nt

Dear V#staPr#nt,

We've known each other for about 2 years now. You've been very good to me ever since we met, which was when I started my own business. Our first encounter was when I designed and ordered my new business cards. I must say, I was very impressed with the quality and the price was great!

Here we are, two years later, and I think I love you. I mean...you have been so good to me ever since we met. So good in fact, that ever since the very first order, you have let me order all of my business supplies for free! Postcards, business cards, car door magnets, address labels...seriously...everything.

I look forward each week to seeing an email from you, and what you are offering for free. And earlier this week? Well let me tell you, you knocked my socks off! Now granted, this was on Monday and I had a lot on my plate that day, and because your free offer that day was for a limited time, I had to drop everything I was doing to get my order in, but man am I grateful for this one.

Thanks to you, our family holiday (post)cards, all 100 of them, are designed, ordered and soon to be in my mailbox, and all for only $11 dollars (which was the set-up fee and shipping). Now, I'm not going to lie...it wasn't easy. I had to drop everything, put the girls in the tub, dig through bins of clothing to see if we had any hand-me-down dresses that were remotely holiday-like, dress the girls...and then...the hard part, snap a gazillion pictures trying to get just one decent one of each.

But I did it.

I designed our (post)card this year from scratch, so it will be completely unique. You saved me hours upon hours of looking at cards from Sh#tterf#y and Sn#pfish and Ko#ak Ga#lery and Co##co and Tar#et, trying to find my favorite card and the best price and the best online coupon. I usually spend the better part of November and December finding the perfect card, only to have to scramble to get it ordered, pay expedited shipping to get it in time (because it took me so long to pick one)and then barely get them stamped and in the mail to our friends and family.

Yes, Vistaprint...thanks to you, it's done. I will have my (post)cards before Thanksgiving and can take my sweet time getting them signed, sealed and delivered. And with our budget these days, the price was just right.

So thank you, Vistaprint.

Thank you from the bottom of my wallet heart.

Wordless Wednesday (with a question)

When two adults get a weekend away without their children for the first time since before they were parents, why do they spend that weekend acting like children?

Hmmm...

Halloween Dress Rehearsal

I don't normally get all that excited about Halloween, or at least I haven't the last couple of years. Maybe it's because last year I was pregnant and the year before that we had just brought Abby home from the NICU and were somewhat under quarantine. I mean, look at how tiny she was!

I can't even say for sure that she was 4 pounds when we took that picture.

But this year, I am excited. I decided to make their costumes this year a surprise, and tonight after bath time we did a little dress rehearsal and revealed the costumes to Daddy. To say he loved them would be a little bit of an understatement, and I am so pleased that he loved them so much.

As for the blog reveal...well...you'll just have to wait a few more days.

Where are all the smiles?

I don't know what it is about my girls and the camera, but they just refuse to smile for pictures. But it didn't stop me from taking a rediculous amount of photos at the pumpkin patch today.

They may not be smiling in the pictures, but oh lordy did these girls have a blast today! We rode the train, jumped in the bounce house, played carnival games, ran through a maze made from haystacks...and so much more! It's the second year in a row that we've gone to the Irvine Railroad Park for the pumpkin patch, and seeing how much fun they both had, we certainly will go back again next year.
